We believe you're entitled to know what we do with the information you may voluntarily or involuntarily provide when you attend one of our classes, contact us by phone, e-mail or letter, or enroll in one of our online courses. In General

Great Lakes Realty Systems, Inc. never sells to third parties the information it collects from you—information such as your name, your address, your e-mail address, or your credit card information.

To Our Students

All continuing education courses offered or conducted by Great Lakes Realty Systems, Inc. are approved by the State of Michigan. This means that your name and certain other identifying information must be submitted to the State licensing authority to ensure that you receive proper credit for course completion.

We retain this information for the time period required by law. We never use this information, however, to send you unsolicited correspondence in the future.

To Our Web Site Customers

A transmission you make on the Internet ordinarily isn't secure. However, when you enroll in one of our online courses, we use a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection. Such a connection securitizes the information by encrypting it when transmitted to and from our site. When you enter any secure area of our website, an icon resembling a locked padlock should appear somewhere within your browser window, or a dialogue box will open and inform you that you've entered a secure site.

Just as important, our credit card processing software meets PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard) version 1.2 requirements. This standard was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Compliance with the standard means that the only record of your credit card account retained by us is the card type (e.g. MasterCard) and the last four digits of your account number. Placing an online course order with us is far safer than handing your credit card to a store clerk or waiter.
